Currently, Global Health Innovations now has close to 2000 HIV+ mothers and their babies combined in the HIV/AIDS program in Kenya, and more mothers and babies are being added daily! Working in four hospitals across the country, including the largest maternal hospital in the country, the HITSystem is changing the way HIV+ mothers and their babies are being cared for. In the past 10 months in the largest maternal hospital in the country, 100% of every HIV exposed baby that is actually positive is receiving HIV medication (antiretroviral therapy). This is a drastic improvement compared to just 7% of these children a year ago before GHI’s HIV/AIDS program started. By the grace of God, getting these babies on HIV medication means Life! Because the HITSystem is truly making a difference in the lives of these babies, Global Health Innovations has been asked to expand the HIT system into other hospitals in Kenya, as well as the country of Malawi.

Help us help Global Health Innovations fund the system into 2 more hospitals by the end of June 2012.
